Home to a tiny population of just around 340, Manalapan is a town located in Florida’s Palm Beach County. The settlement was eventually incorporated by Commodore Harold Vanderbilt with the granting of a charter to the “Town of Manalapan.” The town is thought to have been named after the New Jersey township of Manalapan, and the word comes from the Indian name for “good bread.”
